Stucco has been around for ages with different styles, textures, colors, and designs. David Fabbo uses the newest products on the market and can create a variety of colors and textures. Traditional Stucco is a combination of 2 to 3 coats of cement trowelled onto a surface.
Step One: After galvanized metal lath is installed, the first coat is trowelled, allowed to set, then “Scratched”. This process is referred as Scratch Coat.
Step Two: The second coat of cement is the color coat and it is applied over the scratch coat.
Step Three: Immediately following the 2nd coat, the 3rd final color coat is applied. This coat is applied over the 2nd coat with a drag finish texture. This final coat can either be dragged down, or kept alone for a traditional drag finish texture
